Bio

Ortega (aka Boomtz Boom) is a Brazilian DJ and producer based in Dublin, Ireland, since 2018. Born in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo, he crafts groove-driven electronic music rooted in Electro, House, Techno, and Acid, infused with Latin, Jazz, Funk, and Disco influences.
 

A DJ since 2006 and producer since 2016, Ortega has built a distinctive catalog of releases shaped by rhythmic depth, cultural fusion, and a singular sonic identity. A member of the Smile Collective, he joined Canario Records as a curator in 2024.
 

Under his Boomtz Boom alias, he explores a rawer, more experimental side through independent Bandcamp releases.
